The Resident God Guy – Michael DiMarco


Michael DiMarco is a bestselling author of over a dozen books and a sought after speaker. When he’s not writing or speaking, he consults churches wanting to reach the next generation and most recently served as an interim minister to young adults at a church outside of Nashville, Tennessee. Michael also runs Hungry Planet, an independent publishing imprint and communications company that helps authors, publishers and organizations reach a visually-engaged culture, specializing in creating resources for spiritual formation. Some of his most popular and bestselling books are Own It, The Big PictureDie Young, God Guy, Devotions for the God Guy, and the 2010 Christian Book of the Year for Youth- B4UD8 (Before You Date.) He is married to an even more bestselling author, Hayley DiMarco, and father to their daughter.

Michael is an ordained minister and his background includes a degree in mass communication, hosting talk radio, coaching volleyball at the university level, working as a teacher/presenter at the largest Bible software company in the world, and stints as a marketing and creative strategist for some of the largest organizations and ministries around.

He is a skilled communicator and teacher, taking complex topics and breaking them down in an engaging and conversational style. Michael is also versatile in his speaking style, whether it’s making a presentation to scholars at a Evangelical Theological Society gathering or talking to a youth camp of middle schoolers about becoming the girl/guy God made them to be. His passion is to point people to the One that saved him.

Hungry Planet

Hungry Planet’s first book hit the shelves in Fall 2003. In the short span since, Hungry Planet has published more than three dozen titles and, as of 2013, has sold over 1.3 million books. In addition, twenty two titles have appeared on the CBA Young Adult Bestseller list. Five different Hungry Planet titles have been named a finalist for the Christian Book Award in the Children/Youth category, with two titles winning the award.

On average, Hungry Planet publishes between 3-5 books a year; books known for their cutting edge interior design and award-winning covers.
